Finishing options

Hems and grommets

The most common form of banner finishing is the hem and grommet combination. Hems provide security from frayed edges and also help to reinforce the banner for hanging. Thread can be white or black and grommets range from our most common color, silver, to either black or bronze.

Pole pockets

The next most common form of finishing is the pole pocket. Generally, the size of the pocket is two and one half times the diameter of the pole, but it is up to individual taste. This is the ideal finishing technique for providing a clean look to street banners and tradeshow backdrops.

Other finishing options

Other shown finishing options include D-Rings, Velcro, Vinyl Coated Cable, Webbing, and Wind Slits. D-Rings is an alernative way to hang your banner, and could prove a better look. Velcro is ideal for patches, or for smaller banners that aren't going to be a permanent fixture. Vinyl coated cable is the best option when dealing with oversized banners. The vinyl protects against friction on the cable and is one of the strongest finishing options we offer. Webbing is used when reiforcing hems, adding extra strength, usually done with grommets. Lastly, wind slits allow vinyl banners to act more like mesh banners allowing some blow through. Ideal for pole banners or street banners in high wind traffic.

Options not shown include UV Coating which allows extra protection from the sun, ideal for banners with a long life expectancy. If you are looking for a special finish that we have not mentioned on this page, please contact us and we will assist you.
